NeverMiss helps people in Vermont find things to do. This page explains exactly what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it. It describes how the app actually works, not how we would like it to sound.

What we collect

• Your email address, so you can sign in and we can send what you asked for.
• Your password, held by Google Firebase Authentication. It is hashed by them and we never see it, store it, or have any way to read it.
• Your town, if you give us one, and the coordinates we look up from it , used only to work out which events are near you.
• What you like, skip and mark as going, this is what makes the feed yours. It is stored against your account.
• A record of events you marked as going, once they have happened , the title, venue, town, date and link, copied at the time so it survives the listing being taken down. It is your own scrapbook and nobody else can see it.
• Alert preferences, whether you want email, and about what.

What we do not collect

• No precise or background location. We never ask for GPS. A town name is as specific as it gets.
• No contacts, photos, calendar or files.
• No third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and no tracking pixels in our emails.
• No payment details. We do not sell tickets, we link you to whoever does.

We do not sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to venues, not to anyone. We do not share individual accounts with third parties. If that ever changes we will say so here first and ask you before it applies to you.

Who else is involved

• Google Firebase, hosts the database and handles sign-in.
• SendGrid, sends our email, and therefore has your address.
• OpenStreetMap and the US Census Bureau, turn a town name into coordinates. They receive the town, never your identity.

Email

We only email you if you turn alerts on. Every message has a working unsubscribe link, one click, no sign-in needed. Turning alerts off in your profile does the same thing.

Your data, your call

• See it, your profile page shows what we hold.
• Correct it, like and skip events, or mute a whole category.
• Erase your taste profile, "Clear my taste profile" in your profile.
• Delete everything, "Delete my account" at the bottom of your profile page. Immediate and permanent, no email required. If you would rather ask us, getnevermiss2025@gmail.com works too.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Interests you stop reinforcing fade automatically , anything you have not picked in roughly six months counts for half as much, and eventually drops out. Saved events drop off your profile once the event is over, and disappear entirely if it leaves our database.

The one thing we keep on purpose is your "Been there" list, events you marked as going, after they have happened. That is the point of it: a record of what you did that does not vanish when a venue takes the listing down. Marking yourself as not going removes it, and deleting your account deletes all of it.

Children

NeverMiss is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will update the date above and, if it affects what we do with existing data, tell account holders by email.
